Linear Move Irrigation System

Linear Move Irrigation System’s shape is similar to that of Center Pivot Irrigation System, but it moves linearly. It consists of the prime mover, spans, towers, sprinkling devices, guidance device, drive line, power supply system,  water supply system. It has two types, Standard Linear Move Irrigation System and Universal Linear Move Irrigation System. It is mainly for rectangular lands. The linear Move Irrigation System can cover more than 98% of the land. Its length is up to 1200m, and the length is related with the type of the irrigation system, the way of water supply, the way of the power supply, and guidance type. The power is either from a generator set or an electrical cable dragged along. The way of water supply includes hose feed, ditch feed. The prime mover has two types, two-wheel and four-wheel.

Scope Of Application:

It is suitable for forage, cereal, vegetables, cotton, sugar cane and other economic crops.

Advantages:

1. It covers the rectangular land, and most part of the land can be irrigated.

2. It saves  water, fertilizer.

3. It is suitable for the hilly area, slope, where other irrigation equipments can not irrigate.

4. It irrigates like natural rain, so it does not harden the earth.

5. Comparing with flood irrigation, it can save water from 20% to 30%, and increase the yield from 10% to 20%.
